THE ORDERLY IMPACT
PROJECT
We want to give back.
This is a nomination program to donate home organizing hours to someone in need.
I founded Organize Harrisburg because I know how much a stressful home environment can lead to depression and anxiety. Having personally experienced anxiety and losing my mom to suicide, this mission is incredibly important to me.
Our goal is to help as many families as possible live a stress-free and healthy lifestyle. We understand that not everyone can hire professional organizing services, and you might know someone who is in desperate need of help.
Can you think of someone in Central PA with: a room completely full of stuff, a garage that isn't accessible, a physical disability that doesn't allow them to move easily through their home, a senior who needs to move and doesn't know where to begin, a neurodivergent family, a busy parent who doesn't have time to get their home in order, a person who is battling depression... the list goes on!
Please nominate someone who just might have life-changing benefits from a more relaxing, manageable space.
Nonprofit Organizations are also eligable for nomination. If you know of a nonprofit organization that would benefit from organized systems that will help them run more smoothly, email me directly. We’d love to help free up time for anyone on an incredible mission to give back! Nonprofits may be eligible for more organizing hours than listed below.
Program Details
Your nominee must agree to accept our services and be present during our session.
We will be donating 6-12 hours of our services; about 1-2 days of work. The final product won't be like an HGTV before and after (because those shows you see often involve thousands of dollars in resources), but we will truly make an impact.
We will declutter and rearrange spaces to be usable, remove trash from the home (will not haul away), and make rooms that aren't accessible, accessible again. We can move furniture pieces around if we can lift them.
We will assist with taking usable items to a donation center.
We cannot help a person who has been diagnosed with hoarding disorder. If you are thinking of someone with a hoarding disorder, please e-mail me and I will direct you to more appropriate resources.
We do not offer junk removal or deep cleaning services. During our session, we will do our best to help navigate a plan following our services to continue progress.
If the property has a pest infestation, we require that it's been treated before we complete our services. Living with pests can cause serious health problems. If you are thinking of someone who has a pest infestation, please e-mail me and I will direct you to more appropriate resources.
At this time, your nominee must reside in Central Pennsylvania.
